I am very excited that several Clay County educators have begun our third and final podcasting course, called "Podcasting in Education (Advanced)." They have successfully completed the first two courses in the trilogy, and they are almost ready to become our first ever "Certified Clay County Podcasters." Congratulations to them on their hard work and on the great podcasts and corresponding blogs they have created. These podcasts and blogs will truly enhance their work as classroom teachers, media specialists, technology specialists, and instructional technology teachers. Their students will be the benefactors as they use their new knowledge and skill to enhance their curriculums and classrooms with this technology.
In this final podcasting course, the participants will learn how to enhance their podcasts with video still images and/or video clips. They will also learn about aggregators and how to automatically keep up with all the interesting podcasts to which they are subscribed. This advanced-level course will help them prepare the required paperwork and corresponding podcast they will present to their school Curriculum Council as a "Podcast Approval Packet," for their formal approval.
I look forward to hearing the podcasts that will be generated as a result of this training, and I am anxious to see what ways these educators will incorporate these new technologies to enhance the education of their students!
